Wedding Wednesday: What Happens When Something Goes Wrong?

Here’s something nobody really wants to hear while planning their wedding:

Something might go wrong.

Before you panic - that does not mean your wedding is going to be a disaster.

Actually, there’s a pretty good chance something small will happen and you’ll never even know about it.

And that’s the goal.

Maybe a vendor arrives late.

Maybe a centerpiece breaks.

Maybe somebody spills something.

Maybe a bridesmaid forgets something at the hotel.

Maybe the weather decides it absolutely does not care about your outdoor ceremony plans.

Weddings involve a lot of people, a lot of moving pieces & a very specific timeline. Things happen.

The difference between a small problem and a wedding-day crisis is often simply having someone there who can say:

"Okay. Here's what we're going to do."

Your coordinator isn't there because we expect your wedding to go wrong.

We're there because when something unexpected happens, you shouldn't be the person figuring out how to fix it.

Half the job is executing the plan.

The other half is adapting when the plan decides it has other plans. 😂

And sometimes, the biggest compliment we can receive at the end of a wedding is hearing:

"Everything went perfectly!"

Because maybe it did.

Or maybe three things went sideways and we handled them before you ever noticed.

Either way, you got to enjoy your wedding.

And that's exactly how it should be.
