You probably already have a guest list.
A vendor list.
A song list.
A photo list.
Maybe even a spreadsheet with seventeen tabs that only you understand. 😂
But there’s another list we think every couple should make:
The “Who Is Responsible for This?” list.
Because almost every little wedding-day task needs an owner.
Who brings the marriage license?
Who has the rings before the ceremony?
Who takes your cards and gifts at the end of the night?
Who is responsible for your personal décor?
Who makes sure your overnight bag gets where it needs to go?
Who takes home leftover cake?
Who has the emergency kit?
Who is responsible for getting rental items together?
Who knows what happens with your bouquet after the reception?
These aren't necessarily difficult tasks.
The problem happens when everyone assumes someone else is handling them.
Then suddenly it’s 11:00 PM and six people are standing around asking who was supposed to take the card box home.
Assigning responsibilities ahead of time eliminates SO much unnecessary wedding-day chaos.
And please remember:
Not every task needs to belong to you.
Actually, we'd prefer that almost none of them do. 😂
